Loham Orphanage

The Loham Orphanage is situated in in the outskirt of Kampala and has space for 100 orphans. The compound of the site is quite big and consists of nursery section, dormitories, classroom blocks, toilets and food shelters. It even has a borehole with a hand pump situated around 200m away from the main site.

We at Engo, have visited the site with technicians and have identified the main needs and support for his orphanage:

• Building a small Solar grid to electrify all the building and install security outside lights

• Fencing the compound for better security

• Installing a Solar Pump and laying a tap so the orphanage has running tap water at site

• Plant trees as shading area for outside study areas / clean area make pathways

We have subcontracted a local company to do all the local works together and work in close contact with the Orphanage in order to work together with them on their needs.
