the problem.
Every day, 100 orphans in Uganda eat meals cooked in a small, dark kitchen.
The food is prepared on open wood fires. The walls are black. The air is so thick with smoke that you can hardly breathe.
This is harmful. It effects the health of the children and the women who cook for them. And it forces them to keep cutting and burning firewood — damaging both people and the environment.
The wood costs money, if they collect it themselves it takes hours every day. Cooking on open wood fire takes many hours – even just heating up water to clean or make it safe takes a long time.

We want to completely transform this kitchen.
With €10,000, we can:

Install a solar energy system for clean, reliable power

Provide at least 5 electric cookers to replace wood fires

Train the kitchen staff to use and maintain the new equipment

This is not just a project — it’s personal – I have been supporting this orphanage for many years now by providing food and clothes. However, it is time to make not just a donation but to create a sustainable and long lasting improvement of the conditions.
At the end of October 2025, my daughter and I will travel to Uganda. If we reach the €10,000 goal, we will help install the solar system and electric cookers ourselves together with the local team.
